Introduction
Can be associated with tuberous sclerosis complex, NF or it may be sporadic.
- Can also be associated with Stargardt's, gyrate atrophy and RP.
- Typically asymptomatic, but can cause metamorphopsia, floaters or other visual disturbances
- Primarily exists as 3 types

Appearance:

From eye-wiki. Astrocytomas can appear anywhere, and on fundus can typically resemble a second optic nerve head
OCT

diagnostic features
3 Types of Astrocytoma:
T1: relatively flat, smooth, semi-transparent grey-white lesions without calcification
T2: raised, multinodular opaque calcified lesions
T3: Transitional with features of T1 and 2
